Alisa Wright

Alisa Wright has 14 years experience in education.  Prior to accepting the principal position with Imagine School at Palmer Ranch she served as a founder, educator and administrator at Trinity School for Children in Tampa, a Hillsborough County Charter School.  She is a transformational leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, instinctive problem-solving skills and a constructivist approach to education.  Alisa is an ethical, innovative and results-driven
principal with strong curriculum development experience.  Above all, she is passionate about ensuring that students, faculty and the school reach their greatest potential.  Alisa’s teaching experiences include preschool, K-8 as a media specialist, and collegians as an adjunct faculty member with the University of South Florida’s College of Education.  She understands the organization and delivery of high quality curriculum, including the importance of individualizing curriculum to meet each child’s needs.  Alisa will tell you that the purpose of education is to unlock human potential.  She believes this is accomplished through hands-on learning experiences that develop not only critical thinkers, but also engaged citizens.  Alisa has extensive school leadership experience.  Over the past several years she has served Trinity as the Head of the Lower School and as the Research and Development Director.  In these capacities, Alisa has successfully led the execution of student recruitment, faculty professional development, parent partnerships, school finance, student assessment practices and curriculum development.  However, her greatest accomplishment has been the cultivation of a community of educators and families united by a single goal – the development of an exceptional educational experience for the students they serve.   Alisa understands the power of positive parent partnerships and continually strives to bring faculty and families together on behalf of the children they love.  Alisa is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education.  Currently, she is completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership, Policy and Management at Seton Hall University.  The topic of Alisa’s dissertation is the impact of state statutes on the sustainability of charter schools.
